Shanti Pant Foundation help girls understand their inner strength and encourage them to peruse their education. We identify areas where girls are facing most problems and help them with necessary goods. We ensure the girls attend the schools regularly. We believe that every girl has the potential to make this world a better place with the quality education.
Give her wings to live her dreams.
In Nepal, 46 percent of boys enroll in secondary school as opposed to 38 percent of girls.
Shanti Pant Foundation runs program/campaigns that culminate with girls positively impacting their school going frequency through a service project and providing basic necessities.
Why it matters
Menstruation is a taboo for girls in rural Nepalese society till date and has a high impact on their education. It matters a lot because every girl is born special in this world and has their rights to get her education as it comes under her basic needs. But menstruation becomes a barrier for her cause every month she has to skip her school for 4 days due to the lack of sanitary materials and shame which ends up loosing 10 to 20 percent of her syllabus which will make her fail or demotivate to study further. As a human being, we believe that we all should join hands with the powerless and make them powerful and education is the most powerful weapon in this world as it helps the society to upgrade. The schooling of the girls is particularly important as the outcomes will be great for the future and our coming generation as well cause she will be there to educate her children and the future of the world. As a global village, every individual should hold the responsibility for each other cause we are living in the same phase of the society.
